The shul runs two separate e-mail distribution lists as follows:
1 News (email@example.com)
This list is for news of births, sholom zochors, brisim, pidyonei HaBen, bar mitzvahs,
engagements, weddings and chos veshalom petirohs, levoyohs and shiva details.
The list is also used for the weekly bulletin and other announcements from the shul
When considering whether something should be posted to the News e-mail list the question
to ask oneself is "Is this posting something I would see on the shul noticeboard?".
If not then the post is likely to be inappropriate and rejected by the moderators.
It should be noted that this list is not the same list as the shul uses to distribute
its own mailings to members of the community who have opted to receive shul mailings
by e-mail rather than post where possible. At present this is maintained by Jeremy
Lebrett who can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You are able to manage all your subscription options through the internet including:
Unsubscribing an e-mail address from a list
Changing your subscribed e-mail address (as opposed to subscribing another address)
Suspending mail delivery (e.g. before going on holiday or where you have subscribed
more than one address for posting purposes but only wish to receive postings to one
Digests – rather than receiving each posting as it is posted you can opt to receive
postings on a daily basis as a digest.
Some of these options can be set globally (i.e. for both lists) through accessing
your options on one list whilst others must be set on each list. The webpage makes
it clear which options can be set globally and if you do wish to set them globally
you must select the box marked “Set globally”.
To access your subscription options open the relevant list website (News or Kehilloh)
and then at the bottom of the page enter the e-mail address with which you subscribe.
NOTE: If you subscribe through more than one address you will need to edit each e-mail
address’ options separately.
